Kelly Strom, MS, OTR/L

I am originally from Virginia but Western North Carolina became home when I moved to the area to attend Brevard College. I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and experiential education. I spent the following years utilizing my degree by working in outdoor/experiential education settings with children of all ages in outdoor educational settings. I am a certified yoga teacher and particularly love teaching yoga classes for children. I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in occupational therapy when I realized through my prior work and leisure pursuits that everything comes back to our ability to participate in the meaningful activities of daily life. I attended graduate school at the University of New England in Portland, Maine, and graduated in May 2017. After receiving my degree, I knew I had to return “home” to WNC. I am thrilled to have merged my prior experience with my role as an occupational therapist in the pediatric setting!

In my free time, you’ll most likely find me with my husband Jon and our dog somewhere in the forest near Brevard. I enjoy just about any activity that gets me outside but I particularly love mountain biking, rock climbing, and gardening.
